Why the White House has given a black actor a plum role

An actor has been named the next President of the United States.

Anthony James “Anthony” James will become the first African American President at the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

According to The New York Times, James will play the role of James Comey, the director of the FBI, on Saturday.

James has appeared in several films and television series including “Logan,” “The Following,” “Empire,” “Orange is the New Black,” “Nashville,” and “Dancing With the Stars.”

James’ nomination comes after former President Barack Obama’s choice, Meghan Markle, nominated British actor Emilia Clarke.

Clarke, who played Queen Elizabeth II in the 2012 British film “The Queen,” is set to play Queen Elizabeth in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

Clarke, a British citizen, has also starred in “The Girl on the Train,” “Lethal Weapon,” and a number of TV series including Showtime’s “The Good Wife.”
